Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB): Compliance and Enforcement Strategy

WASREB’s statutory mandate is provided for under Section 72 of the Kenya Water Act 2016. The regulator sets, monitors, and reviews rules and regulations to ensure water services provision is affordable, efficient, effective, and equitable. Ensuring compliance with the Water Act 2016 and enforcing the law is one of Wasreb’s key objectives in the Strategic Plan.
